Extremely Rare Georgian Sterling Epergne Circa 1771

Rare Georgian sterling silver epergne circa 1771, London by William Vincent silversmith. Unusual Georgian sterling silver dish cross converted so it doubles as a centerpiece. All pieces hallmarked with William Vincent's hallmarks. The epitome of extravagance in English sterling. Dish crosses were used so that a hot dish would not burn the dining table or sideboard . An  extremely tall and heavy dish  cross. It has replacement lead crystal bowls as most do in pristine condition . Overall length 23 inches height with the center bowl 12 inches.The unusually tall dish cross measures 12 1/2 inches long and 5 inches height. 1289 grams approximately

Orders are submitted to the shipping department upon payment, and items will ship within 5-10 business days of payment, unless otherwise noted.

This is for 1 bid only. You must contact us 24 hours prior to the auction close and there will be no legal consequences. For auctions lasting 48 hours or less, this does not apply.
